tating that Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) was a party comprising leaders and cadre with clean and transparent image, party president and former Union Minister G K Vasan said that it would soon become a ruling party in the State. The State executive committee meeting of the party held in Tiruchy saw the party chief releasing an upgraded version of the party’s flag on Tuesday.
Addressing the gathering, Vasan said, “We are neither a party that ruled the State nor ruling the State, but for sure we will become a ruling party in the near future. Since we are the party that respects even rival party members, and with our party leaders known for their clean image in public, support for TMC has been gaining ground.”
The upgraded version of TMC’s flag displayed the tricolour akin to the national flag and saw much larger portraits of the party visionaries former chief minister K Kamaraj and former parliamentarian G K Moopanar embedded at the centre.
