Vasan’s plea to government

Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) president G.K. Vasan has urged the State government to expedite arrangements to combat the rains that are expected in Chennai, Kancheepuram and Cuddalore over the next few days.

Mr. Vasan spoke to reporters before proceeding to Dengumarahada in The Nilgiris to console the family of a woman who was washed away in the recent floods.

Mr. Vasan said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is becoming unpopular owing to its dual stand.

The party’s promises and actions are contrary and the outcome of it was evident in the recent Bihar elections.
