TMC decision next week, says Vasan
Indicating that the Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) was keeping its options open to finalise its alliance for the May 16 Assembly elections, its president G. K. Vasan said he would announce party’s decision next week after completing his tour programme.
Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, he said after completing his Statewide tour on March 15 or 16, he would announce the decision, taking into consideration, the views of the people and party cadre and in the overall interest of the party. “The TMC will formalise its alliance as desired by the people and it will turn a victory alliance,” he said.
He said the TMC was not in a hurry as the political situation was still fluid in the State and all parties were holding parleys weighing various pros and cons. Declining to give details of the party’s electoral strategy, he said “why can’t it be discreet unless it comes out in a concrete way
