Tamil Manila Congress (TMC) will take a decision on its strategy for the coming local body elections after consulting with the party functionaries, its supremo G K Vasan said here today.
A final decision on whether to go it alone or have a tie-up would be taken based on the majority opinion of party cadres, he told reporters here on the sidelines of a regional level party meeting in which functionaries from Erode, Karur and Namakkal districts took part
Vasan said 32 revenue districts were divided into 12 regions and the meeting of the party was conducted in every region.
The move comes following the drubbing in the recently concluded May 16 assembly elections.
Expressing concern over the rise in incidents of crime, especially murders in Tamil Nadu, he urged the police to take stringent action against the culprits.
On Palar check dam issue, he sought the Centres intervention to stop the Andhra Pradesh government from increasing the height of the check dam across Palar River near state border.
