Chennai: A party which has more number of lawyers supporting it, is sure to win said former Union Minister G K Vasan. Speaking at the launch of a new website and introduction of android application to provide details about the yet-to-be launched new party, held at his party office here today, Vasan said, 'Whether it is a national party or State party, lawyers' group plays an important role. It is lawyers who have contributed more in the freedom struggle. They alone can solve many problems in the society'. Earlier, a new website www.gkvasan.co.in was launched. Further, a new Google playstore android application called 'I Support G K Vasan', used on smart phones was also introduced. According to Sunil Rajan, founder of the application, 'Anyone who registers his name and other details in the website will be getting regular updates about Vasan's schedule, programmes and his speeches'. Later, Vasan announced his schedule programmes relating to the launch of new party on 28 November at Tiruchi. Vasan also released a handbook titled 'The Indian Evidence Act 1872'. A large number of lawyers from various districts of Tamilnadu participated in the launch ceremony. Leaders present on the occasion were erstwhile TNCC chief S R Balasubramaniam, Saidai Ravi, Kathipara Janardanam, Yuvaraj and others. Meanwhile, the party is gearing up for its mega meet in Tiruchi, during which the name and party flag would be unveiled.
